An absolutely beautiful wedding day in York on my blog today! Caroline and Charles’ wedding day took place in Bishopthorpe in York at the village church, with their reception a stones throw away at the stunning Middlethorpe Hall hotel. I first met Caroline and Charles last summer down in London won their pre-wedding shoot and we hit it off straight away and I had a whole year to look forward to their wedding day as I knew it would be a great day as they are such a fun couple to photograph! I had my good friend Paul along for the day to second shoot with me and he headed to Middlethorpe Hall in the morning where Charles and his groomsmen were getting ready, and I took a very short drive down the road to Caroline’s mum’s house, literally just over the road from St Andrew’s church. We had a great team of suppliers along with us for the day, with their super cute convertible Morris Minor wedding car supplied by Classic Car Hire Yorkshire, which Charles had a lot of fun driving to and from the church! The floral arrangements were by the fab Lucy MacNicoll Floral Design, who provided the bridal party bouquets, church, and marquee chandelier flowers. and it was great to work with the guys from Story of Your Day who were covering the videography duties. The night time entertainment went with a bang, starting the show was Gary Grace and his swing band who were just fantastic, and we were treated to a cracking firework show and the guests danced the night away until the early hours!
This was such a lovely moment, Charles had arranged for a barbershop quartet to come and sing a few songs for Caroline on the morning of the wedding as a surprise!
