Danby Castle Wedding Photography / Lisa & Alex’s Wedding Day / North Yorkshire Moors Wedding Photographer

So here’s my last blog of 2013 (though there are still lots of weddings from this year yet to come!), and as ever it’s another stonker of a wedding day at Danby Castle! There’s just something about this venue that attracts fun loving people, it is never a dull day that’s for sure! Danby Castle is a very unique wedding venue, hidden on a hillside at the top of the North Yorkshire Moors with views of rolling fields and surrounded by beautiful countryside, definitely one of my favourite places to photograph at. Lisa and Alex’s day started with then both getting ready at Forest Lodge Farm in Castleton. With the boys in one cottage and the girls in another, it was easy for myself and my assistant Elissa to move between them both to capture both sides of the day. The morning preparations are one of my favourite times of the day to photograph and I love the shots that we got of Lisa and Alex, with Lisa being a make up artist herself I knew she was going to look amazing, and amazing she definitely looked! The stunning North Yorkshire Moors countryside looking over towards Danby I always love photographing a Jenny Packham wedding dress, so unique looking you can tell it’s one of her designs straight awayWith Lisa growing up in Scotland, you might notice a few Scottish influences throughout the wedding day, watch out for the ‘addressing of the haggis’ later on in the night!A very beautiful bouquet by Audrey Foster FlowersAlex and Lisa’s son Finley in his awesome suit jacket! One of my favourite shots of the day, I love the different dresses the girls wore and how they tied in so well with the flowersA short drive through the village of Castleton and Danby and on to the wedding venue
