I honestly don’t know where to start with this wedding, never have I had SO SO much happening to photograph! With the reception at Pete’s parents house in their garden, it felt such a personal day, with lots of little touches all around reflecting their personalities and interests. After a very fun mini-bus trip from Huddersfield with Fiona, her dad, and all 8 bridesmaids, we arrived at Hardcastle Crags for the ceremony at Gibson Mill. Such a beautiful converted mill run by the National Trust, surrounded by forests and rivers it made for a perfect spot for the wedding. Once the formal part of the ceremony was completed, Fiona and Pete’s friend took over from the registrars and the fun didn’t stop from that point on! After a sing-a-long to Can You Feel the Love Tonight we all headed over the river for a picnic lunch, accompanied by a surprise visit by the amazing New York Brass Band, who would later join us back in Huddersfield for the drinks reception. Other surprises of the day came in the form of a bird of prey and owl display that Fiona had arranged for Pete (being a closet twitterer himself!), plus a singing minstrel who arrived just before the meal! Did I mention the miniature Land Rover that Fiona and Pete made their entrance on? And what an entrance it was! I could go on and on about how much I loved being at this wedding, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, enjoy! I absolutely loved Fiona’s Vivienne Westwood dress which suited her so well!Fiona’s dad entertained us all through the morning! Quite possibly the best wedding party photo I’ve taken so far!I have to give a massive credit to these girls for being up for doing these shots on the river, even if it did mean I had to take my shoes and socks off and go wading in the river to get the shot! The bus trip back to Huddersfield was made all the more fun with the quiz all about Fiona and Pete, obviously Pete’s parents won!
