A blazing hot wedding day in the centre of Leeds with the awesome Katie and Martin on the blog today! I’ve known the happy couple for about ten years through Martin’s best man Simon, so I was absolutely thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding. The day took place between The Met Hotel in the centre of Leeds, and Temple Newsam a few miles out of the city. I joined Katie and the girls in the morning, first at the hair dressers in town, then to the hotel for make up and getting into dresses. The girls were so fun to photograph and managed to get Katie through the dress stresses and then it was on to the double decker bus for the ceremony at Temple Newsam and drinks afterwards. The whole wedding party jumped back on the vintage bus into town where the meal and evening partying took place at The Met. This would be my first Leeds city centre wedding and I was so pleased to hear that Katie and Martin were up for doing some urban portraits in the evening so we took a quick walk in the nearby streets with the setting sun providing some stunning light!
