Chris & Rachel’s Wedding Day / Minnehaha Events Scarborough Wedding

Chris and Rachel’s wedding was such a great day to photograph, so much fun and laughter from start to finish! They held their ceremony at Burniston Methodist church on the outskirts of Scarborough, and the reception at Minnehaha Events at The Barn just down the road from the church. It’s a fantastic spot with fixed bar in a barn and teepees for the meal and evening reception. We had to dodge a few sharp showers in the afternoon but it was interspersed with glorious summer sun. With the venue being so close to the cliffs we took a quick trip in the evening with Rachel and Chris for some portraits which came out fantastic, they were absolute troopers for going right down to the beach but it was definitely worth the walk! Sarah & Mike’s Wedding Day / Bedern Hall, and National Centre For Early Music Wedding Photography

There was wall to wall sunshine for Sarah and Michael’s wedding day in York last Saturday, a beautiful spring day! They held their ceremony at Bedern Hall, hidden behind Goodramgate and a stones throw from The Minster. We popped off afterwards for a few photos around York Minster and the surrounding cobbled streets, and then had a fab ride to the reception at The National Centre For Early Music on the other side of town, driven by Nick from Limelight Wedding Cars in his awesome Morris Minor Convertible. Fab as always to work with Anna Stephenson hair and make-up artist I joined the guys who were having a few pre-wedding tipples at The Principle Hotel National Centre For Early Music Wedding Photography Wedding Photography by Chris Milner Photography Venues: Bedern Hall and National Centre For Early Music

Lindsey & Andy’s Wedding Day / Aldby Park Wedding Photography

Lindsey and Andy had an absolutely stunning RAF wedding day just outside York on a perfect summers day! They held their ceremony at the village church in Sheriff Hutton, followed by a reception in the grounds of Aldby Park in the village of Buttercrambe near Stamford Bridge. I was excited for their wedding day right from meeting Lindsey and Andy as I knew they were going to be so much fun to photograph and it was great to hear that they were up for doing a few things out of the ordinary, as you’ll see in the photos below! It’s not often that everything comes together that I plan beforehand but this wedding so pretty close to perfect, and I think you’ll agree from the leaving the church shots to the sunset portraits in the evening, these two absolutely nailed it and were looked so natural in front of the camera. It was a first wedding for me at Aldby Park, a private stately home in the small village of Buttercrambe. Surrounded by manicured gardens to the rear and farmland to the front we were spoiled for choice for photo locations. The Sperry Tent from Papakata looked fantastic opposite the grandeur of the Georgian mansion house, and the inside was just jaw dropping with details from the ground up to the ceiling! The Hog and Apple caterers as ever were on top form and provided the incredible food. It was an absolute pleasure to have Penny and Ed from Silver Sixpence Films with us to film the wedding, click through here to watch the highlights video! In the evening the dancefloor was packed out courtesy of Ordinary Men who really got the party started! Andy and his groomsmen got ready for the church in a fab set of cottages close to Stamford Bridge and I headed there to get some prep shots before going to see Lindsey in Buttercrambe. The wedding car was actually Andy’s parents Morris Minor and it looked absolute fab! Andy’s brother and best man Nigel took chauffeur duties to drive Lindsey and Andy from the church to Aldby Park. You can take the girl off the farm…! Caroline & Charles’ Wedding Day / Middlethorpe Hall Wedding Photography

An absolutely beautiful wedding day in York on my blog today! Caroline and Charles’ wedding day took place in Bishopthorpe in York at the village church, with their reception a stones throw away at the stunning Middlethorpe Hall hotel. I first met Caroline and Charles last summer down in London won their pre-wedding shoot and we hit it off straight away and I had a whole year to look forward to their wedding day as I knew it would be a great day as they are such a fun couple to photograph! I had my good friend Paul along for the day to second shoot with me and he headed to Middlethorpe  Hall in the morning where Charles and his groomsmen were getting ready, and I took a very short drive down the road to Caroline’s mum’s house, literally just over the road from St Andrew’s church. We had a great team of suppliers along with us for the day, with their super cute convertible Morris Minor wedding car supplied by Classic Car Hire Yorkshire, which Charles had a lot of fun driving to and from the church! The floral arrangements were by the fab Lucy MacNicoll Floral Design, who provided the bridal party bouquets, church, and marquee chandelier flowers. and it was great to work with the guys from Story of Your Day who were covering the videography duties. The night time entertainment went with a bang, starting the show was Gary Grace and his swing band who were just fantastic, and we were treated to a cracking firework show and the guests danced the night away until the early hours!   This was such a lovely moment, Charles had arranged for a barbershop quartet to come and sing a few songs for Caroline on the morning of the wedding as a surprise!                   Middlethorpe Hall Wedding Photography Wedding Photography by Chris Milner Photography Venue: Middlethorpe Hall York

James and Aisling’s wedding day was an absolute joy to photograph, an amazing couple and a fun bunch of friends and family too! The day was filled with laughter from start to finish. The wedding took place in my home city of York at The Merchant Adventurers’ Hall in the centre of town, a very popular venue for me and a very stunning one at that! Carman & Kushal’s Wedding Day / Sandburn Hall Wedding Photography

A stunning wedding day at Sandburn Hall with the fab Carman and Kushal. A very multicultural wedding day with Chinese and Mauritian traditions, it was fantastic to be able to capture all the different moments throughout the day. The guys and girls both got ready at separate houses on Bootham in the city centre in York, I left my second shooter Paul with Kushal and the guys whilst I headed off down the road to join the girls. The whole day from ceremony onwards was at the very popular Sandburn Hall in Flaxton, about 10 miles out of York.
