Claire & Niall / Yorkshire Dales Wedding Day

I was so happy when Claire and Niall booked me to photograph their wedding day in the Yorkshire Dales, not only are they kind on the eyes but they are such a fun couple, and with Niall bringing his family and friends over from Ireland I knew we would be in for a good wedding! The getting ready and reception parts of the day were held in Kettlewell, with the latter at the village hall, and their ceremony took part at Craigmar, a lovely private home in Hebden. With the original plan being an outdoor humanist wedding ceremony, the plans had to change slightly due to the weather being rather unkind for a summer wedding, but Hannah from Your Three Days lifted everyone’s sprits with a moving, yet light hearted ceremony. With a short break in the rain, the guests were able to head outside for a few group photos, and then after lunch it was back on the bus to Kettlewell for the reception. Thankfully, the weather brightened up in the evening and we were able to head to the hills for some portraits amongst the stunning countryside. I absolutely love Jenny Packham wedding dresses, so I was rather spoilt with Claire having not one but two amazing dresses, with an extra special golden number for the dancing in the evening! It was great to work with Nigel again from The Wedding Car Hire Company in York Yorkshire Dales Wedding Photography Wedding Photography by Chris Milner Photography Venue: Craigmar in Hebden & Kettlewell Village Hall

Sarah & Mike’s Wedding Day / Bedern Hall, and National Centre For Early Music Wedding Photography

There was wall to wall sunshine for Sarah and Michael’s wedding day in York last Saturday, a beautiful spring day! They held their ceremony at Bedern Hall, hidden behind Goodramgate and a stones throw from The Minster. We popped off afterwards for a few photos around York Minster and the surrounding cobbled streets, and then had a fab ride to the reception at The National Centre For Early Music on the other side of town, driven by Nick from Limelight Wedding Cars in his awesome Morris Minor Convertible. Fab as always to work with Anna Stephenson hair and make-up artist I joined the guys who were having a few pre-wedding tipples at The Principle Hotel National Centre For Early Music Wedding Photography Wedding Photography by Chris Milner Photography Venues: Bedern Hall and National Centre For Early Music

Kate & Jim’s Wedding Day / Thorner Wedding Photography

A picturesque Yorkshire village, a beautiful couple, a fun set of friends and family, plus the unpredictable English summer weather = an epic wedding day! Kate and Jim held their wedding day in the village of Thorner, just outside Leeds, West Yorkshire, with the ceremony in the village church, and reception in a marquee in the grounds of a family friends house in the village. The weather wasn’t very kind to us with non-stop rain from morning to sunset but it didn’t stop everyone smiling throughout, it would take a lot to dampen the spirits of these two and their friends!  On the morning I dropped Lucy my second shooter for the day off with Jim and his groomsmen at Hazlewood Castle, and I headed off to Kate’s mums house in Thorner. The beautiful church and marquee flowers were provided by Allison at Wild Floral CoutureNow that’s how you make an entrance!Amazing food as ever by Friends For Dinner caterersThere were quite a few drinking games going on through the evening! The evening music was by Func on the Rocks who were absolutely fantastic! Lindsey & Andy’s Wedding Day / Aldby Park Wedding Photography

Lindsey and Andy had an absolutely stunning RAF wedding day just outside York on a perfect summers day! They held their ceremony at the village church in Sheriff Hutton, followed by a reception in the grounds of Aldby Park in the village of Buttercrambe near Stamford Bridge. I was excited for their wedding day right from meeting Lindsey and Andy as I knew they were going to be so much fun to photograph and it was great to hear that they were up for doing a few things out of the ordinary, as you’ll see in the photos below! It’s not often that everything comes together that I plan beforehand but this wedding so pretty close to perfect, and I think you’ll agree from the leaving the church shots to the sunset portraits in the evening, these two absolutely nailed it and were looked so natural in front of the camera. It was a first wedding for me at Aldby Park, a private stately home in the small village of Buttercrambe. Surrounded by manicured gardens to the rear and farmland to the front we were spoiled for choice for photo locations. The Sperry Tent from Papakata looked fantastic opposite the grandeur of the Georgian mansion house, and the inside was just jaw dropping with details from the ground up to the ceiling! The Hog and Apple caterers as ever were on top form and provided the incredible food. It was an absolute pleasure to have Penny and Ed from Silver Sixpence Films with us to film the wedding, click through here to watch the highlights video! In the evening the dancefloor was packed out courtesy of Ordinary Men who really got the party started! Andy and his groomsmen got ready for the church in a fab set of cottages close to Stamford Bridge and I headed there to get some prep shots before going to see Lindsey in Buttercrambe. The wedding car was actually Andy’s parents Morris Minor and it looked absolute fab! Andy’s brother and best man Nigel took chauffeur duties to drive Lindsey and Andy from the church to Aldby Park. You can take the girl off the farm…!
